Arvydas Sabonis and Vlade Divac who where 'the other centres' in the Shaq era of the late 90's, early 00's were stars in Europe before making their mark in America. Sabonis joined the NBA late but was already one of the most skilled big men in Basketball and during his time with Portland he cemented his legend despite some injury troubles. Vlade Divac spent some incredible years playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings, where he was strong in the middle and also possessed the skills and the shot of a forward. Cheryl Miller, who serves as an analyst for ESPN won an Olympic Gold in 1984. She had an incredible college and coaching career for the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and is also the sister of NBA legend Reggie Miller. The Milwaukee Bucks have made a big signing by acquiring one of the smallest men in NBA Basketball. The Bucks signed free agent Point Guard Earl Boykins who is one of the most skilled and tenacious Points in Basketball. Boykins signed a one year deal for $1.3 Million. The 5, 5 tall guard has previously played for Milwaukee in his 11 year career. Earl averaged 7.5 points and 2.9 assist for the Washington Wizards last year and the 34 year old has career averages of 9.3 points and 3.4 assists. The Bucks lost Luke Ridnour to free agency but Boykins and Keyon Dooling will still make a brilliant backup rotation for Bucks guard Brandon Jennings, who is one of the greatest young players in the L. Boykins will be able to pick up buckets off the bench and hit big shots for a team that is looking at making the postseason.
15/23/91/93/96/37. What do these numbers mean to you? Nothing, well these are all the jersey numbers that Ron Artest has worn in his career. Now this guys a future Hall of Famer, imagine retiring all these jerseys? Well now Ron is changing again, not teams, but his number back to 15. 15 is the number Ron, Ron wore in college for St. Johns and in his rookie year with the Chicago Bulls. Artest put in a request late last season while wearing Number 37 and now he can change. The reasons behind Ron's jersey choices are interesting but there's only one number that's gonna mean the most to him next year and that's 2... 2 Championships.
