24. Chicago Bulls power player and personality Joakim Noah will be chilled out for awhile as he is expected to miss eight weeks due to surgery. The enigmatic talent will go under the knife today to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb. The go hard frontcourt warrior picked up this injury in late November and has been playing ever since. He also had a double, double of 11 and 11 against Toronto this week...the dude doesn't stop. Noah also has sprained ligaments in the middle finger and index finger on his right hand and we thought Derrick Rose was int the wars. It looks like now with Noah the Bulls are losing their best players two by two. The Bulls and the league also will miss Joakim's presences this Christmas in more ways than one.
48. Reserve swingman, Devin Ebanks tweeted about how it was time for the Lakers to get revenge at the Consiceo Fieldhouse after the Pacers celebrated a win at Staples last week. The Lake Show showed a lot of character as well winning, 109-94. Kobe played the biggest part in this win with a Reggie Miller jersey number in points in front of the Indy faithful. 25 of these 31 came in the second half but it was in the first 24 that the Lakers built a lead that they would never relinquish. Pacers fans even chanted "KOBE, KOBE" and stayed to the end. Even though it was a blowout Pacer fans were willing to endure the traffic to witness a legend in rush hour. It wasn't just Kobe who maintained his top form. The relentless Pau Gasol had 28 while Lamar Odom ordered yet another double with 13 points and an incredible 17 rebounds. it's been a long time since these two where labelled soft. Will critics finally admit that the Lakers have a big three as well? This was the Lakers six win in seven games and now the team look less like the out of favour outfit they did the last time they met Indiana and more like the champions their supposed to be.
82. LeBron faced off with his Cleveland Cavaliers again last night but this time the fans weren't so boisterous. This was because this rematch was held in South Beach so LeBron and his Heat told the Cavs 'Not In Our House' with a 101-95 win. Miami's hot win streak now stands at 10 as wade led the way with 28 points helping his teammate 'Bron out. James had 21 himself however as he continued to look strong against his old firm. The King like the win telling the throne of press, "We executed enough plays down the stretch to help us win. Gut-check? I don't ever think it got to a gut-check point ... but for us, we're happy that we continued to win and we continued to get better." Bosh also had 16 to go along with hot shooters, Mario Chalmers' 14 and James Jones' 11. Former Raptor star Bosh said "I've never won 10 games in a row," (poor Toronto). "So I'm happy." It looks like the Lakers aren't the only ones looking like the team their supposed to be now. The Heat are more than looking like winners.

O.T. Despite losing Joakim Noah things are still looking up for Chicago as they have won their 7th straight...despite being down by as many as 23, Chris Paul made his Hornets look attractive to buyers by leading them to a big comeback, now how about a payout?...the Mavs have been slipping recently but after burning the Blazers their looking to get hot again...speaking of hot Phoenix Sun Channing Frye was red hot as he hit seven threes as his team sent the Wolves to the ashes...Chinese phenom, Yi Jianlian is looking at missing two to four weeks for his Wizards with a knee injury...Manu Ginoboli did his best M.J. impression as he hit a fadeaway at the buzzer to beat Milwaukee in an East coast, West thriller...still that wasn't the best of last nights offering as the Knicks and celtics had a classic last night. The two top teams (still feels weird saying that about the Knicks) went at it. Stoudemire had 39 but Paul Pierce hit the game winner in the final seconds looking like his old self and just like the preseason. More reasons why you love this game!TIM DAVID HARVEY
